My name is Sara. I’m a twenty-something recovering hipster,  forever an angry fucking liberal. 

I strongly believe in bipartisanship, working together with people that come from differing perspectives. There is no way for us to know everything in the universe, so it’s important for us to hear a wide range of ideas that have never even occurred to us. It’s important for us to treat one another with dignity and respect if we are to survive as a democracy.

Unfortunately, in my home country of The United States, this has become an increasingly rare occurrence. Politicians and citizens care more about antagonizing the opposition and stroking their own egos than they do repairing the problems we face. 

My username or attitude may seem counterproductive or hypocritical then, but when it comes to the topics of racism, sexism, homophobia, cissexism, and various other -isms… I am not going to lie, I do not hold back. I have very little patience for people who treat other human beings like shit, and I offer no apologies for making bigots feel like garbage. Unrelenting bigotry is not a political ideology, it’s douchebaggery. 

Remember: freedom of speech allows you to say what you what… But it also allows me to call you an idiot for believing it.
